How SpraySafe works
SpraySafe is pure New Zealand water and naturally occurring Hypochlorous acid. That's all. An effective sanitiser that disinfects and neutralises odours without drying the skin. Non-toxic, not alcohol, no nasty chemicals.
Mild Hypochlorous acid water (HOCl) eliminates 99.9% of germs and bacteria like E-coli, Staph and yeast infections. Its weak acid state makes it safe to disinfect wounds, cleanse the skin, sterilise equipment, neutralise odours, and even clean food materials.
SpraySafe's special formula uses very mild levels of Hypochlorous acid. Less than a swimming pool, even less than the New Zealand drinking water standards allow. Yet it still takes care of all those bugs and bacteria.

SpraySafe is pH neutral. The pH level of Hypochlorous acid found in our formula is maintained to maximize its antimicrobial activities.
SpraySafe has a stabilised pH of 5.0-6.5
Your swimming pool should be pH of 7.2-7.8
The New Zealand drinking water standards are pH 7.0-8.5
How it eliminates germs?
Hypochlorous acid is a weak type of acid considered as nature’s germ killer. It has been used in the medical industry around the world for years as a disinfecting agent due to numerous studies that support its effectivity as a wound cleanser and skin treatment.
When released, the Hypochlorous acid water (HOCl) oxidizes and quickly combines with the organic compounds it comes into contact with, such as bacteria and viruses, and has the ability to penetrate the cell membrane and destroy the nucleus and DNA inside.

How it eliminates odour?
The key word here is 'eliminates'. A lot of products out there merely mask the odour, not eliminate it. More often than not the result is a pungent cocktail of overly sweet lavender and whatever the original smell was! You end up having to spray so much of the scented freshener that you can almost taste it!

This is yet another way that SpraySafe delivers. SpraySafe eliminates the smell completely. Similar to how it breaks down germs and bacterial cell membrane, it destroys smell as if it were never there at all. You don't need much, just a few sprays on the couch where the pets have slept or on the rubbish bin or toilet when you are done and the odour is eliminated.
